With the bark that we collected from the environment we got really involved in creating tree rubbing pictures. The process was to put the peace of bark under some paper and use lots of different colours of crayons; we got fantastic marks on the paper and every picture looks so unique!
As part of the Pre School children’s Rainforest adventure, we are going to be learning where the different rainforests are in the world and what makes them different. The children are very keen to learn about the various animals that you can find in these places and our recent ‘tropical’ weather has helped build excitement levels!

This week the Babies are playing with shape sorters, talking about shapes such as circle, square and triangle! We will also be playing with the heuristic items, wooden materials, cloth materials and wool. We are planning to play with sand indoors and out, adding objects to sand to motivate and explore the children’s imaginations!
