In our Baby Rooms we follow the Pre-Birth to Three curriculum. This includes the rights of the child, relationships, responsive care and respect which are the four key principles for best starts and positive outcomes. By regular observation of a particular developmental stage or during free explorative play, staff evaluate and plan for each child’s future, learning and support ensuring we get it right first time for every child. In all rooms we create many and various areas giving different stimulating play opportunities. Such examples of this in the Babies room are the ‘soft’ story area where children enjoy learning new words while increasing their sensory experiences. Then in the ‘kitchen area’ children become more independent and practice new skills while in the ‘messy mat’ area we promote motor skills. Importantly children have ready access to all their play activities and toys allowing them to make independent choices.
