Although it has been the wettest February on record we have been able to make a number of visits to the allotment
The allotment is beginning to wake up now and there are lovely splashes of colour with the daffodils, snowdrops and Primulas now in bloom. We have been able to get on with some seed planting and the peas, sweet peas and broad beans are now germinating in the shelter of the shed.
Last week the Tweenies planted a new Victoria Plum Tree, planted out new strawberry plants and potted up some small Lavender plants.
Our RSPB Great Garden Bird watch was a great success and we spotted 45 birds, including 12 different types of birds.
