The week started with a very heavy frost which turned the tomatoes into little frozen lollypops! The allotment water has also been switched off for the winter, so we will need to collect more water than usual.
This week we used the pumpkins we had grown in the summer to help us celebrate Halloween. The biggest pumpkin was scooped out and used as a cauldron for mixing magic in-a few pretend spiders, beetles and worms went into the pot which everyone thought was a good idea.
We went on a mini pumpkin hunt with the very smallest ornamental pumpkins, and then decorated them. We also experimented with planting Asian spinach in the poly tunnel.
